Nathan Bar

Nathan Bar (Brusovani) is one of the most remarkable and original modern photo artists.

His style can be described as a multi-level photo painting. Combining many photographs within a single visual space and creating a complex system of deep and multifaceted meanings, Nathan Bar creates painting-like works of art by using the tools and approaches of photography. Mr. Bar\\\'s works are multifaceted and are therefore not restricted to the technical frame of the collage genre. His goal is to uncover the inner associations between various strata of reality.

In his \\\"Dialog with Old Masters\\\" series, presented at the exhibition, Nathan Bar compares modern life with imagery of great medieval painters - Bosch, Breigel, Surbaran, Duehrer, and others. Building on the imagery of European art and combining them with the national traditions, Nathan Bar creates pieces of art that render a strong emotional and intellectual influence on the viewer.
