Words

The less we speak, the more we feel.
Shakespeare William
A word - is a form that can stop any feeling and raise it again. Feelings came before words, but
words helped to create beautiful bouquet out of them. This kaleidoscope of opposition and
symbiosis is the eternal condition.
And if to be sincere, my story is about the feelings that became color and words broke their
tranquility, changing the idea, but probably somebody will see harmony in it. Any exhibition – is
an argument between artist and spectator.
And if to be much more sincere… once with my friends we were talking about sex. My little
daughter was close and so that not to pronounce this important noun, we replaced the phrase “to
have sex” for “to paint” and then colors, sizes of brushes appeared and canvases according
everyone’s taste. And in several weeks after this creative discussion I started to paint. Literally to
paint. So, in my story firstly a word came without any specific meaning and then the whole
process of creativity was launched.
P.S. But lest we penetrate into philosophy, a word is principally just a form – word that doesn’t
relate to this matter.
Conception of exhibition:
Connection between words and abstraction. As the painting transfers an emotion to spectator that
often is not the same as the artist’s idea, but when reading text or work title, the story take a new
meaning. The spectator can agree with artist or not.
Exhibition goal:
Play of a feeling and a word. To define what is primary. Continuous connection between these
two forms, opposed each other.
