Denis de Gloire

For more than ten years, Denis de Gloire, working in his workshop in Waregem, Belgium, has created amazing canvases, continuing the creative legacy of Jackson Pollock, who was born on January 28, 1912 in Cody (Wyoming) and died in New York in 1956. Years of work and passion for the object of passion seem to have turned De Gloira into the embodiment of Pollock himself, the same manner of holding and managing a palette of colors, the ability to distinguish and feel shades of colors as the person who inspired him did. The spirit of Polok, as well as Franz Klein, Yves Klein, Engelbert van Anderlecht, Robert Motherwell, Louis Morris and Robert Indiana, roam in his creative space in the form of canvases, merging into the crowd and carrying to those very flashes that meant so much in the past. One of the most characteristic statements of the artist, is the statement:
" I'm not an artist. I make pictures.
This careless statement helps us understand what motivates this person to create uncontrollable and endless blows provoked by Pollak on canvases, not copying the past, but continuing what they have begun.
