Malinda Damgaard, hat design

Malinda Damgaard was born and lives in Sweden and has fans and partners all over the world. 2006 in London Malinda began to work with Philip Treacy -  the world famous hat designer.

During this period she made hats for haute couture brands such as Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan etc.

Today hats by Malinda Damgaard can be seen on such celebrities as Grace Jones, Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker and Camilla Parker Bowles.

One oft he best  is the flamboyant hat in the shape of the classic phone handset which Lady Gaga wore in  a popular talk show „Friday night with Jonathan Ross“.

Now Malinda works in Stockholm and has her own brand. Among her customers are Acne, Dagmar, Minimarket and Lars Wallin. She also gets private orders for the Queen Victoria, Swedish princesse Madeleine and the Royal Opera.

The project „The art of Sweden in Saint Petersburg“ will let you to take a look at the hats of Madame Malinda Damgaard as at bright art objects, works of applied art which the artist creates beyond the traditional understanding of the accessories and works with unusual shapes and expressive materials.
